September 24, 2024, OTTAWA, ON – Ottawa Community Housing (OCH) will mark a significant milestone with the groundbreaking of Gladstone Village, a major step in building and preserving affordable housing in Ottawa with 336 new homes.
Join us for this landmark event
Representatives from OCH, the City of Ottawa, and key partners will gather to celebrate the beginning of this transformative multi-phase development that will see the development of 1,100 affordable homes over the coming decade. The event will also introduce the successful general contractor and architect firms, showcasing their crucial role in the development. This groundbreaking is a key moment in OCH’s commitment to addressing the urgent need for affordable housing.
About Gladstone Village
Gladstone Village is an 8-acre, mixed-use development designed to offer 336 affordable homes with modern amenities and sustainable features. The development is located in a vibrant urban setting between Somerset Street to the north, the O-Train Trillium Line to the east, Preston Street to the west, and Oak Street to the south. Further insights will be provided on the community design features, amenities, mixed-use components, various housing sizes, and sustainability initiatives that exemplify a forward-thinking approach to housing in Ottawa.
